- Community Representation: To ensure the school’s name better represents the location and there is an immediate link between the school's name and its location.

This name was selected based on the local area that the school is situated in. That means that the location of the school is immediately located by name.
Consultation Process
We invite all stakeholders to share their views either in support or opposition through the following methods:
- Public Meeting: To be held on 21st July 2025 at 3.30pm in the Small Hall of Thornhill Academy
- Written Submissions: Can be emailed to liam.clark@consilium-at.com with the subject ‘school name’
The consultation period will run from 9th June 2025 to 22nd July 2025
Decision-Making
All feedback will be carefully considered by Consilium Academies and the local governing body of Thornhill Academy. A final decision regarding the name change will be made as soon as possible and communicated to the community as soon as possible following the consultation period.
